Eating eggs,meat and good food with low salt is supposed to be good for you if you have a kidney cyst ,its non fatty but real ,eating grapefruit and other fruits with vegatibles is also excellent .Don’t give advice saying protein is bad,your body needs carbs and protein with vitamins. People call your doctor because there is really good medicine to slow and heal the kidneys and a good list of foods and healthy shakes will be the order of the day from your doctor.

I was put on a Low FODMAP diet about 5-6 months ago by my gastroenterologist. Dx. IBS or SIBO. On 5/31/2024, I had a sudden onset of right-side flank pain, the most severe pain I have ever experienced. I'm a 70 y.o. female, generally good health. I'm wondering if the low FODMAP diet may have been a contributing factor in the development of the stone.

Problem is nobody agree nothing on kidney health.

I am already on a vegan diet and rarely eat meat substitutes. I eat whole grains (rye mostly) and so on. I recently got my bloodwork, and I have calcium to phosphorus ratio at 1.9 despite having calcium at the high end of the normal range (phosphorus too). How am I supposed to lower my phosphorus if it's in everything? I eat 3 slices of bread and I'm already over the RDA.
